In the upcoming months I will be visiting your school, and will have the pleasure of meeting you all in person.  I'm sure you will have lots of questions, and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask them when we visit.

We will keep adding useful information to this page to ensure this whole experience is a truly positive one. So keep on checking back.

Welcome to our SEND students

As part of our extended transition programme for those students who need a little extra help, we’ve produced a welcome video and a guide to Ryburn.

How much do you know about your new school?

Test your Ryburn knowledge in our quick quiz by members of our Student Council.

Your iGen Summer Reading

In your welcome pack, you’ll have found a copy of ‘The Boy Who Made Everyone Laugh’ by Helen Rutter. This is your very first ‘iGen’ book; these are the novels you read with your form and get thinking and talking about the issues the characters face.

We’d like you to read this book over the summer holidays. When you start in September, it will be an experience you can share and talk about with your new form. Please return the book in September.

We hope the book makes you laugh out loud, and think a bit, and we hope you enjoy reading it.

Check out the links below to explore it a bit more.

Your welcome Booklet

Read this guide carefully to find out what to expect at Ryburn, and what we expect from you.

A DAY AT RYBURN

This video was produced by our previous Year 7 Student Council to show new students what a typical ‘day in the life’ of a Ryburn student is like.
