School trip refunds

As you are aware that many school trips have had to be either cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. We are extending this cancellation to all trips up to Christmas 2020.

Thank you for your patience whilst we made all the necessary arrangements with tour operators. All families will be given a full refund of what you have paid for all these trips.

We will be in contact with you in the next academic year if the trip is going to be rearranged, giving you the option to rebook.

Refund process:

Refunds have to be made according to the payment method you used when you paid for the trip. This is because we have to comply with Money Laundering and Anti-Fraud and Corruption regulations.

ParentPay Payments

This means that any monies paid to school via ParentPay will be refunded back through ParentPay and the relevant Credit or Debit cards used to make the payments. Doing so will ensure that the original payer receives the benefit of the refund. Please note that each payment will be refunded in the same multiple that was originally paid e.g: 3 separate payments of £50 will result in 3 separate refunds of £50.

Cash or Cheque Payments

Where any payments for trips were made to school by either cash or cheque then this needs to be returned to parents by BACS transfer. In order to do this school will need to collect the relevant bank details by completion via the online form by clicking the button below. Please note: If you have only ever paid for items by Parent Pay you do not need to complete this bank detail form.

Combination payments

Where parents have part paid for a trip by ParentPay and part paid by cash or cheque then to comply with the relevant regulations school will need to use both of the above refund methods to complete the process. Please complete your details via the form button above.

Refund timescales:

Please note, you do not need to request a refund it will be done automatically. In order to manage the expectations of parents on the refund process, the estimated timescales are:-

  • For all refunds to be made via ParentPay, it is likely to take around 2 weeks for this to be fully completed through a combination of school, banks and card companies.

  • For refunds to be made by BACS, parents can expect this to take around 10 days from the date that the bank details forms are received back in school.
