Summer term begins

We hope all of our Ryburn families are safe and well, and managed somehow to have a nice Easter 'break' of sorts. We miss you all so much and we'd love to hear what you're up to.

Home learning

Home Learning materials for Weeks 3 and 4 are now available on our website. The schedule for Week 2 is also still up, in case you are still working on that.

Ryburn news

Thank you to the staff who worked over Easter to look after children of key workers. Though we had only a small number of students, they have been hard at work keeping fit with Joe Wicks, teaching staff to do a ‘TikTok’ dance and singing along to Mr Clarke’s interesting Spotify boyband selection. They have also worked hard to complete our beautiful Ryburn rainbow 🌈.

A big thank you to Ryan Hirst (and his sons) and staff from technology and Interserve who have been in school making face masks for the local care homes. We have also donated goggles, gloves and aprons to Calderdale to support our health workers.

Looking forward

This is the strangest start to a term. At the moment, there is still no planned date for schools to reopen after the lockdown. The Government has confirmed it will be at least three more weeks, and may be longer. Rest assured, we are all still here and will be keeping in touch through home learning, email and social media.

We've also got some exciting news we'll share later today so keep a look out for that!
