If you are creative and imaginative, a GCSE in Textiles will enable you to express yourself but is also good preparation for the world of work.
This is a course that suits creative and imaginative students who enjoy working in Textiles. Students learn the skills and techniques to create designs and products using Textiles in addition to improving observational and researching skills. Students will also get to use both traditional machines as well as the more modern laser cutter, dye sublimation printer and using a computer controlled sewing machine.

• printed and dyed textiles
• surface pattern
• stitched and/or embellished textiles
The course is suitable for students who have shown interest and enjoyment of the subject at KS3 and a commitment to work hard on the folder work and theory as well as the manufacturing of products.
Please note: Art: TeXTILES cannot be studied in combination with Art AnD Design (Art, CRaft And Design).
